Music

“Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.” – Ephesians 5:18-19

Music has always played an important part of the worship life at St. Luke’s. Our liturgies are characterized by the blending of many different styles spanning thousands of years, all rooted in the historic services of the church. Obviously, the repertoire of Lutheran chorales is well-represented in our services, but we also draw material from the Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and various Protestant denominations as a testament to our place within the greater church of Christ. We are currently in the process of developing a comprehensive music program which will consist of a wide variety of ensemble opportunities for all ages as well as events throughout the year.
